AÇIKLAMALAR:
  • "Be" fiili 3 yapıda kullanılır.
    a) Subject + be + noun
    b) Subject + be + adjective
    c) Subject + be + prepositional phrase

    a) Subject + be + noun

    Present : I am a teacher now.
    Past: I was a student 20 years ago.

    Present: We are students at the University now.
    Past: We were students at the high school 5 years ago.


    b) Subject + be + adjective

    Present : The questions are very difficult this year.
    Past: The questions were very easy last year.

    Present: He is very happy now.
    Past: He was very angry yesterday.


    c) Subject + be + prepositional phrase

    Present : She is in Ankara now.
    Past: She was in İzmir yesterday.

    Present: His laptop is on the table.
    Past: It was in the bag in the morning.


  • QUESTION FORMS
    We use "was, were" before subjects to make questions.

    Why were they shocked? Because she was in love.

    Who was upset? John was upset.

    Where was Mrs. Peters? She was in the hospital.

    Was he at home? No, he wasn't.

    Were they tired? Yes, they were.
